Mystery Sampler - Progress

Taking a little break from the 31 for 2012 Challenge for the Lizzie Kate Mystery Sampler.  This sampler chart is being released in three parts and this is my progress on part 1.  I started stitching on Friday afternoon and took this photo on Sunday right before I went to bed.

The Book Store - Progress

I picked this design back up last Saturday morning (one week ago) as soon as I finished Winter Rose.  It's coming along very quickly (surprisingly quickly).  I have been stitching while watching LOTS of U.S. Olympic Team Trials coverage.

Top photo is under lamp light; the one from today is natural afternoon light.

Also, you can sorta-kinda tell on the top photo - the books are finished with sparkly metallic gold thread on the bindings.  LOVE.

Winter Rose - Finished!

I didn't quite get this finished before stitching group last week, as planned. The final 15 or so stitches went in first thing Saturday morning.

She has a head!  I'm going to try to finish this up before stitching group meets again on Wednesday!

Winter Rose - Progress

Her head is still chopped off, but check out the rest!  Cool plaid skirt!  Floofy ruffles!  And the blue pattern on the side.  I love it!

Winter Rose - Progress

I've chopped her poor little head off here.  The central figure is almost complete.  I'm getting started on the plaid skirt edging now and then there's a petticoat ruffle and skate and she'll be all done.  There's plenty of background and edging to do before it'll be done!

Nautical Fence - Finished!

Stitched the last X in the sand last night (just before midnight).  The buttons are not attached yet - just laid on top to show placement.  I've loved this pattern since I first laid eyes on it and it was a pleasure to stitch.

I did something different with the sand section on the bottom.  Inspired by one of the members of my stitch group, I stitched it diagonally instead of horizontally.  I think it gives the sand a nice texture (and it made a neat pattern on the back!).
