I did it! 31 projects started in January; one every day!
The sprint to begin is complete, now starts the marathon to finish all this stuff by the end of the year!

Day 30 of 31
I just noticed that the model photo doesn't have the little curl on the G like mine does! I promise I followed the chart!

Day 28 of 31
10 measly stitches today. I'll do better tomorrow.
Now, please excuse me. There's a cupcake with my name on it.

Day 22 of 31
This is the first Lavender & Lace pattern I've stitched. Appropriately, it's the first L&L design released. Lots of tweeding* going on in there.
*Tweeding - using more than one floss color in the needle at one time, creating a shading effect.

Day 19 of 31
Got home at 11:35pm and managed to get 25 stitches in before midnight. Wasn't quite able to get the photo taken and posted before the clock struck twelve.

Day 12 of 31
It's so teeny and cute! There are a few specialty stitches on this pattern, so I'll have a bit of a challenge even on this little thing.

Day 10 of 31
Why yes, that is a giraffe butt! This is a reproduction of a Spanish sampler that was created to commemorate the arrival of a giraffe from Egypt to France in 1826. I was drawn to this as soon as I saw it because of the unusual subject matter.

Here's a photo of the original sampler. The colors on my finished product will be brighter/deeper.

Day 8 of 31
Well, when you wakes up at 5am on a SUNDAY, you gets lots of stitching done. Argh. Hope that doesn't happen again.

Day 6 of 31
I forgot to post last night! I love Little House Needleworks designs. Have tons, have stitched few. This is one of the biggies.

Day 5 of 31
This is the bottom claw and body of the lobster in the upper right. I'm using 10 ct fabric for this project. The plan is to finish it as a table runner/throw.

Day 4 of 31
Spent a lovely couple of hours today with the stitching group from my LNS! We've been getting together at Panera Bread on Wednesday since the fall.
I love the delicate nature of this designer's work. Extra bonus is that a little time gets a huge result!

Day 3 of 31
Just a smidge today. I started in the lower left corner on this one, rather than the middle as usual.

Day 2 of 31
Another new fiber for me! I am still indecisive about the needle to use. The fiber is a bit too thick for a 26 needle, but I was having trouble getting a 24 through the backs to tie off the ends.

Day 1 of 31
I joined a stitching group at my LNS, Covered Bridge Needlearts, in the middle of last year. The owner suggested a challenge to the group, so I joined right up! We'll be starting a new project every day during the month of January. Here's my progress from day one.
